Easter Bars Recipe
These Easter bars recipes are SO easy, you'll be making them all year long. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have these delicious bars ready to go in no time!
Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 Cups Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter, softened
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 Large Egg Yolks
- 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 4 1⁄4 Cups Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
Vanilla Frosting
- 1 Cup Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter, softened
- 3 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 Teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
- 4 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Large Piping Bag with a Large Star Tip
- 1 Package of Yum-mallow Easter Baking Mix (or Easter Sprinkles)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined and creamy.
- Using a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually beat in the dry ingredients into the wet until combined and a dough has formed.
- Press the dough into the pan and bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes or until a light golden color.
- Allow to cool completely.
- Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and heavy whipping cream until combined, smooth and holds a peak.
- Scoop the frosting into the piping bag and pipe a zigzag line across the top of the cookie bars.
- Sprinkle some of the easter baking mix on top.
- Allow the frosting to harden slightly before enjoying.
