HOW LONG DO CHRISTMAS CHOCOLATE CHIP KISS COOKIES LAST?
My kids will tell you that these cookies only last a day, that’s why they have to eat them in one day. I say–haha! But no. They’ll last for 3-5 days (maaaaybe a little longer) in an airtight container on the counter.
I wouldn’t recommend that you put these cookies in the fridge because chocolate gets that weird film on it when you put it in the fridge sometimes and I just don’t like to risk it.
But, if you’re just working with the dough, before you put put the chocolate on top, you can absolutely put these in the fridge overnight or even for a day or two, as long as they’re in an airtight container. Then, you can bake them the next day or so.
CAN YOU FREEZE CHRISTMAS CHOCOLATE CHIP KISS COOKIES?
I would not. I mean, it’s not going to break it down and turn the cookies into goo or anything weird. But the chocolate gets this weird film on it and while that’s not a big deal on white chocolate (I mean, you’re not going to see the film on it, let’s be honest), but you’re going to see it on the kisses. So, I’d skip the freezer after the cookies are baked and decorated.
If you want, you could always put the cookie dough in the freezer prior to baking and decorating. That will give you a chance to bake the cookies, get the melty goodness of chocolate and all that, but still save yourself some time.
