HOW LONG DO PEPPERMINT Candy COOKIES LAST?
These peppermint cookies for Christmas are amazing. They’ll last 3-5 days before they get dry and crumbly and less-than-desirable. But if you put them in an airtight container, you can get them to last for 8-12 days.
If you want them to last a bit longer, like 20-24 days, you can put them in the fridge in an airtight container. Then just grab a chilled cookie and enjoy!
how long does peppermint candy last
When properly stored, you can keep peppermint candies for about 12 months. But honestly, if you’re cooking with them it really does not matter if they are a little stale. Just in my opinion.
CAN YOU FREEZE PEPPERMINT candy FOR CHRISTMAS?
Absolutely, freeze away! These cookies are perfect for baking, cooling and then freezing–and they’ll last for 3-5 months in an airtight container that way.
The one thing is, DO NOT EAT THEM STRAIGHT FROM THE FREEZER. I’m not kidding. That peppermint candy is going to be uber-hard after being in the freezer. So put them on the counter for a couple hours to thaw and then you’ll be good.
